Butter Pecan Cake with Glaze

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix (or homemade equivalent)
1 cup milk
3 large eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
For the Glaze/Frosting:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Extra pecan halves for topping

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour batter into the dish and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Make the Glaze/Frosting:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved and bubbly (about 2 minutes).
Stir in milk and bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
Whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Assemble:
Pour the warm glaze over the cooled cake.
Sprinkle with pecan halves on top.
Let set before slicing.
